Ohm’s Law Calculator

Calculate voltage, current, resistance, and electrical power using Ohm’s Law.

CALCULATED RESULT

What is Ohm’s Law?

Ohm’s Law is a fundamental electrical law that describes the relationship between voltage, current, and resistance in an electrical circuit. It states that voltage is equal to current multiplied by resistance.

Ohm’s Law Formulas

Voltage: V = I × R

Current: I = V ÷ R

Resistance: R = V ÷ I

Power: P = V × I

What Do the Symbols Mean?

V = Voltage measured in volts (V)

I = Current measured in amperes (A)

R = Resistance measured in ohms (Ω)

P = Electrical power measured in watts (W)

Example

If a circuit has a current of 2 A and a resistance of 10 Ω:

V = 2 × 10 = 20 V

Therefore, the voltage of the circuit is 20 volts.
